Do I need a meet & greet before my first booking?Yes, absolutely! We require a free meet & greet before your first service so we can get to know your pets, learn their routines, and make sure we’re a great match. It’s also your chance to ask any questions, share instructions, and feel confident your furry family is in caring hands.
-
How will I know how my pets are doing while I'm away? You’ll get real-time updates daily - including notes, photos, and videos! We want you to feel totally at ease knowing your pets are happy and well cared for while you're away.
-
Are your pet sitters certified? They sure are! Every sitter who works with Boulder City Critter Sitter is certified through the National Association of Professional Pet Sitters (NAPPS)—a nationally recognized organization that upholds the highest standards in pet care. That means your pets are in the hands of trained professionals who understand everything from basic care to emergency handling and behavior support.
-
Are you licensed, insured, and bonded?Yes, we are! Boulder City Critter Sitter is fully licensed, insured, and bonded to give you total peace of mind. This means we take your home, your pets, and your trust seriously—and we’ve put the right protections in place to back that up. We believe in doing things the right way, so you can feel safe and secure while we're caring for your furry family.
-
What areas do you serve?Boulder City is our home base, and we love that our close-knit community allows us to be just minutes away from most of our clients—it’s one of the things that makes our service extra reliable and responsive! We also happily serve Henderson and Las Vegas, but please note that for clients located 5 miles or more outside of Boulder City, there is a $1 per mile (one-way) travel fee added to your booking. If you're unsure whether your location falls within that range, feel free to reach out—we’re happy to check and give you a quick quote!
-
Will you take pictures or videos of my pet? And can you use them?Yes—we love capturing happy moments with your pets! During your visits, we often snap cute photos or videos to share with you and keep you updated through the Time to Pet app. Unless you request otherwise, Boulder City Critter Sitter retains ownership of these images and may use them for our website, social media, or marketing materials to help promote our services. We always strive to show your pets in their best light and never share personal information. If you’d prefer we don’t use your pet’s photos for promotional purposes, just let us know—we’re happy to respect your wishes.
-
What if my pet has special needs or medications? No problem at all! Just let us know in advance during your meet & greet in the app. We’re experienced with administering medications (including injections) and supporting pets with health or behavior concerns. We treat your pet like our own—with patience, love, and care.
-
When is payment due?To officially reserve your in-home pet sitting dates, we ask for a 50% deposit at the time of booking. The remaining balance is due 4 days before your first scheduled service. This helps us hold your spot and ensure we're all set to give your pets the best care possible!
-
What’s your cancellation policy? We totally understand that plans can change—life happens! If you need to cancel and give us at least 24 hours’ notice, we’ll add a 100% credit to your account for any services that haven’t yet been provided. That credit is good for 180 days from the original payment date. Because we carefully schedule sitters in advance and often turn away other clients once your spot is reserved, we’re unable to issue credits for cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice. Your booking holds time on our calendar and directly impacts our sitters’ income and availability. We don’t offer refunds, but issuing credits allows us to be as flexible as possible while still protecting our small business and team. Please note: If cancellations become frequent, we may reserve the right to limit or decline credit issuance.
-
Do you accept all pets? What if my pet is aggressive or fearful? We care deeply about the safety and well-being of all pets and people involved. While we’re experienced with shy, reactive, and special-needs animals, we do reserve the right to refuse service if a pet displays aggressive behavior that could put our team at risk. If your pet has a history of fear-based reactions, reactivity, or aggression, please let us know during your meet & greet—we’ll do our best to accommodate their needs or help refer you to a qualified trainer if needed. Our goal is always to ensure a safe, positive experience for everyone—human and furry alike!
